Pat Wood - Therapist and Site Owner

Whilst at school I was a volunteer worker with the Probation Office, in order to gain work experience.

I studied Arts and Humanities with both the Open University and Edinburgh University.

I have spent my life working with people, firstly as Motivation Officer for a major supplier to Marks and Spencer, then as a manager with a large multi-national retail organisation.

From there I became a tutor for the Chamber of Commerce; training Y.T.S students, in retail and distribution.

I trained as a Reiki Practitioner in 1998/9, mainly because I wanted to help my mother who had Reynaud's disease, and suffered the loss of her fingers as a result.

I worked shifts in order to be at home for her at some point each day, and so began to work nights at a residential care home for the elderly, and spent the next two years as a care worker.

From there I again worked shifts as my mother's illness worsened. This time I worked for three years as an auxiliary nurse/ward support worker on ward 12 of Dewsbury District Hospital.

A great believer in life-long learning I began to study Hypnotherapy and NLP at the weekend with the Wakefield School of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, and obtained my HPD from the Open Network College following the submission of a portfolio.

In February of 2008 I completed a CPD in Hypnotherapy Cancer strategy skills, and stress management.

I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the National Guild of Hypnotists, both of which advocate continuous development.

Judith Griffiths - Massage Therapist

I am a fully qualified massage therapist specializing in therapeutic massage movements. I have been in practice for three years in Wakefield and have been treating clients for over six years. I have a knowledge of many different massage disciplines and draw on these in order to treat each client on an individual holistic basis according to need and requirement.

I provide Pregnancy Massage, Sports Massage, Relaxing Holistic Massage and Deep Tissue massage.
