Reiki Treatments

Reiki (pronounced RAY-KEY) means 'Universal Life Force Energy' Good health depends on the quality of life-force or Ki that's flowing through our bodies. Ki is the non-physical energy that animates all living things. It is the primary energy of our spiritual life and our emotions.

Reiki cleanses the body of built up toxins, can relieve pain, comforts and soothes, calms and releases emotional trauma. It releases blocked energy and increase the body's own ability to heal itself, whilst experiencing a state of total relaxation.

The Laying on of hands brings comfort, warmth, caring and affection, and is used by many healers of different faiths and religions.

Reiki is perfectly safe, can benefit everyone and in no way conflicts with medical procedures, in fact it supports and enhances all medical treatments, and is now widely accepted by doctors, hospitals and health professionals. Acute injuries can be helped to heal very quickly, though more chronic injuries may take longer.

It is also widely used to benefit those in Hospice care and in cases of terminal illness Reiki enhances the quality of life, allowing for peace and serenity in the time remaining

A recent article on Reiki was printed in the Kirkwood Hospice magazine and I quote:

On a spiritual level Reiki offers the healer and healee a greater experience of higher consciousness, self-awareness and intuition.

Clients are treated fully clothed usually on a therapy couch although it can be done seated. Healing takes place when the channel's hands are placed on or above the client's body and takes place mentally, physically and spiritually on all levels of consciousness.

It heals at such a deep level that emotional blockages and suppressed feelings, can manifest themselves in a physical way whereby deep personal healing can take place.
